Job Description
A Data Scientist is a more experienced data scientist which could deliver with minimal supervision and is a natural researcher, who is always curious about advancements in data science, enabling Data Management and Systems Operations (DSO) department to deliver more advanced analytic solutions, discover relevant insights from vast amounts of information, and augmenting advanced analytics to our end to end solutions, driving real business impact. Its main focus shall involve, but is not limited to data wrangling, machine learning, and the application of appropriate advanced analytics for the business’s key initiatives
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop machine learning models (data models) to solve domain specific problems
Unearth and discover trends, patterns and principal components from given datasets
Interpret business data and analyze results
Discover trends and patterns on existing data ready for consumption
Develop more advanced report visualizations using state of the art techniques and common visualization tools for both internal and external clients
Support end to end data lake solutions by incorporating prescriptive and predictive analytics and other things that will lead to attaining full automation and state-of-the-art artificial intelligence
Develop proof of concepts on latest trends and technologies which are leaning towards analytics and advanced business solutions
Enable our associates by providing high level consultancy whenever and wherever necessary and is always willing to take on big challenges
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or other related field focused on quantitative disciplines
At least 2 years of experience working on Python, R, or at least one of these
At least 2 years of experience working on machine learning models
At least 2 years of experience in using Tableau, Power BI or any of these is required for this position
Proficient Knowledge in using linux highly preferred
Working knowledge in Big Data, Hadoop, Spark or at least one of these preferred
Working knowledge of Amazon Sage Maker and/or Cloudera Data Platform is a big plus
Proficient Knowledge in handling different relational and non-relational databases preferred but not required
Knowledge in using Amazon Web Services is a big plus
Working knowledge of common data science tools and libraries such as jupyter notebook, sci-kit learn, pandas, numpy, scipy, seaborn, tensorflow, keras or at least some of these.
