Compensation: ₱50,000 – ₱70,000 per month
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GIS Team Lead to oversee a team of GIS professionals responsible for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data across various domains such as urban planning, environmental science, and transportation. This role combines technical expertise with leadership to ensure data accuracy, effective project execution, and continuous team development.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Management
Collect spatial data using satellite imagery, GPS, remote sensors, and field surveys.
Maintain and update geographic databases with high accuracy and integrity.
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Perform geostatistical analysis and spatial modeling to support business and client needs.
Translate complex spatial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Map Creation & Visualization
Create clear, accurate, and informative maps and visualizations to support planning and decision-making.
Customize map outputs based on stakeholder requirements.
Database & Software Management
Oversee the use and maintenance of GIS tools and platforms, including ArcGIS, QGIS, and other relevant systems.
Utilize Python or other scripting tools to automate data processing and improve workflow efficiency.
Team Leadership
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of GIS analysts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and visual presentations for stakeholders and management.
Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations clearly and effectively.
Quality Control
Implement data validation protocols to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Perform regular audits and reviews of GIS outputs to maintain high standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in GIS solution design, implementation, and delivery
Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team
Proficient in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, or similar GIS tools
Familiarity with ETL tools, FME, and Esri COTS applications is a strong plus
Experience in Python scripting for automation and geospatial workflows is an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience working within DevOps and Agile/Scrum environments is a plus
Salary
₱50,000 – ₱70,000 per month
