Qualifications:
Minimum Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills):
Bachelor’s degree on any of the following course/s: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Physics, Economics, Data Science, or any related courses. Master or PHD degree an advantage.
3+ Years of experience in any of the following languages (R, Python, etc.)
2+ years of experience working with big data platforms and proficient with SQL-style languages.
2+ years of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and applied machine learning.
Experience in BPO industry, an advantage.
Willing to work in Commonwealth, Quezon City
Job Description:
The Data Scientist is Afni’s catalyst of discovering the hidden insights in vast amounts of data, and enables our leaders to make smarter decisions about their business. He/she is proficient in applying data mining techniques, statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems, integrated with the products and services that Afni provides.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Analyze large, complex data and translates them into human insights and stories which drive actions/changes in strategy and tactics.
Selecting comprehensive features, building, and optimizing classifiers using appropriate machine learning techniques/algorithms.
Build predictive and forecasting models.
Identify and conduct data mining of various sources of data (structured, unstructured)
