I. JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Officer 1 is primarily responsible for ensuring that food safety, quality control measures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) are properly monitored and verified in their assigned processing areas.
This position contributes to company goals by accomplishing quality tasks and delivering high-quality finished goods.
II. DUTIES
1. Conduct condition verification activities for tools and instruments used in assigned processing lines, including but not limited to weighing scales, metal separators, sieves, and thermometers.
2. Perform on-site process verification of each identified processing step, including but not limited to:
Raw Material (RM) weighing and receiving.
b. Cooking process: dumping, product transfer, and monitoring of cooking temperature and time.
c. Mixing process: dumping and mixing time monitoring.
d. Pre-processing: drying, milling, pulping, fresh preparation, staging, and storing.
e. Fill-bottling and packing: monitoring of filling temperature, leak testing, gross weighing, product information, packaging material condition and correctness, and defects.
3. Ensure the correctness of process documentation executed by machine operators, shift team leaders, and stock men.Carefully review production phases, standards and target output to achieve; and anticipate contingencies in case of problematic conditions.
4. Verify the correctness and approve product information affixed to packaging materials (labels, cartons, caps, cap seal, etc.), including but not limited to the manufacturing date, expiration date, export-client print, and layout requirements.
5. Ensure that all materials within assigned processing lines are properly tagged and updated for disposition
6. Perform product and processing line changeover verification by conducting inspections and standard line clearance.
7. Ensure compliance with documentation requirements (Product Status Form, Process Monitoring Report, etc.) and provide timely updates to the shop floor for product disposition.
8. Provide product disposition based on standards, disposition guides, and instructions from the Technical Services Department (TSD), Intellectual Property Department (IPD), and other related stakeholders.
9. Report any quality and food safety deviations, incidents, or violations of standards and company rules to the immediate superior and related stakeholders. Prepare appropriate reports such as Quality Alert Report (QAR), Incident Disposition Report (IDR), Plant Sanitation Deviation Report (PSDR), Incident Report (IR), GMP Observation Report, and email correspondence as necessary.
10. Timely review quality-related forms and ensure completeness and correctness of filled-out data prior submission to document process owners.
11. Inspect and provide clearance after start-up, post-production cleaning, and general cleaning processes in accordance with GMP and line clearance standards.
12. Lead and oversee Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Clean-Out-of-Place (COP) activities in assigned areas in coordination with the immediate superior
13. Inspect housekeeping and personnel hygiene by verifying the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment, personnel cleanliness, and proper hand washing in assigned processing areas.
14. Ensure proper, timely, and comprehensive turnover, endorsement, and handover of all production matters between shifts. As a last resort, do not leave the station until after proper turnover with the assigned production lead for the area.
15. Serve as a role model for production competency, GMP, CCP, oPRP/PRP, FSSC & ISO 22000 standards, and food safety discipline.
16. Prepare timely production-quality reports, quality data, and FSSC-required data and information as required and directed.
17. Develop and maintain effective relations with all company employees at various levels of the organization, including those from service providers.
18. Actively lead or participate in projects and activities aimed at achieving process, product-quality, and departmental goals and improving production operation.
19. As appointed, perform duties and responsibilities related to your role in Food Safety System Certification (FSSC).
20. Serve as a role model for behaviors aligned with Marigold Way’s core ideology, mission, values, principles, and practices.
21. Perform other duties as may be required to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of production operations.
III. AUTHORITY
1. Give instructions to Line or Team Leaders.
2. Access restricted production areas during operation.
3. Call shift meeting in coordination with Production Officers.
4. Verify routine documents (e.g. daily schedule).
5. Correct and/ or criticize constructively production personnel.
6. Works with Production-Operation for any in-line quality concerns and requirements.
7. Works with Technical Services Department for any trial, in-line quality, material quality, process, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) concerns and requirements.
8. Issuance of Incident Report (IR), incident disposition report (IDR) for any personnel who significantly deviated any quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other technical implementations.
9. Reports any untoward behavior of any personnel during time of work.

V. JOB SPECIFICATION
a. Education: College level, Graduate of any Science Courses preferably related to Food Industry.
b. Experience: 1 – 3 years relevant experience in food manufacturing. With background in Food Tech.
c. Training/Seminar required: GMP, HACCP or FSSC related training/seminar, Problem-solving
