Job Description
The Reporting Analyst will develop and maintain reports and dashboards specified by the Company that provide insights to drive key business decisions and support improved business performance. They will provide a supportive link between raw data and users who need to make key business decisions. Data extraction, analysis and transformation are key job responsibilities.
The scope of the role will focus on Sales, GM and Inventory reporting. It will also support analysis required by Demand Planning as well as some Supply Chain, Marketing and On Line reporting for the Brand. The role will closely align with the Strategic Analytics project in terms of the development of new tools and introduction of new technologies
Responsibilities:
Gathering and collating raw data for use in downstream reports
Maintain and deliver all Central Reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly etc)
Deliver ad hoc reporting as required, effectively translating stakeholder requirements into reporting deliverables
Ensure reports are checked, accurate and produced in a timely manner
Use new technologies / systems to deliver “Better Reporting”, for example, through the increased use of visualisation of results (graphs, dashboards etc); both within the Brand as well as in conjunction with the Strategic Analytics project
Represent the Spotlight business on all projects that relate to reporting and analytics, data gathering and data management, taking a proactive approach to the resolution of issues and to reaching actionable consensus
Maintaining and improving existing business templates
Delivering new business templates that are fit for purpose for all Departments
With previous experience in data analytics or reporting, candidates should have the ability to share knowledge and expertise as well as being open to continuous learning.
The candidate will also need:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Confident to deal effectively with both end user and IT audiences
Ability to create clear and professional reports, procedures and other documentation; simplifying the complex for an easy end user experience
High degree of accuracy with data management and analytical assessment
An open and flexible mindset showing adaptability with a self-starter attitude and ready to take the initiative
Proven ability to work well in teams, as well as the ability to function autonomously
Have an organised and methodical nature with the ability to manage competing priorities
Be an analytical thinker with a genuine interest in solving business problems including the ability to conceptualise outcomes and relationships between different sets of numbers
Knowledge or experience with any of SAP, BI, TM1, PowerBI, Salesforce, COGNOS, Tableau and Excel, where advanced proficiency is an advantage.
